Must-Have Monday: New Year’s Eve Style

With the holiday season winding down, it all comes down to one epic party celebrating the best of 2012: New Year’s Eve. This is the time when many people shell out hundreds on one amazing party outfit they’re only going to wear once, just so they can make it memorable. If you’re invited to a party but not sure what to wear, sequins are the way to go. Sequins are synonymous with New Year’s Eve, and this is the only time when a head-to-toe sequin outfit is totally appropriate. They’re black-tie dressy enough yet perfect for casual soirees with the right accessories. Of course, you can always choose one standout piece to be the highlight of your outfit.  Here are eight shimmery picks (under $100!) to ring in 2013 in style. Bring on the bling and go all out!

Hannah Gettleman

Hannah Gettleman is a bubbly twenty-something living in Chicago. She graduated in 2012 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Journalism. Don't tell her that print is dying--she's already made the switch to public relations. As a Midwest girl, winter happens approximately 80% of the year, so she knows a thing or two about a good pair of snow boots. She lives for summer weather (even though she can never tan), Boy Meets World reruns, and an unhealthy addiction to dark chocolate and online shopping. She's a die-hard Chicago sports fan, even though she's well aware the Cubs always end up in last place every year.
