Valentine’s Day falls on a work day this year. Synonymous with the month of February, shades of red, white and pink have are everywhere, and whether you want to impress a coworker or just dress up your work wardrobe a little bit more, it’s best to do it subtly yet stylishly. We’re twenty-somethings with jobs; we want to look professional whether we embrace the “holiday” or not. Here’s what to wear without looking like a walking Hallmark card:
Valentine’s Day on a Friday=Casual Friday. Keep your look simple but add fun accessories to dress it up.
The pink shirt still gives a fun vibe, and pleats are huge for spring.
Wear this casual piece with a white button-down (or a striped tee, as shown on the model, black jeans and black ankle boots or booties.
If your office doesn’t celebrate “Casual Friday” (or you work in corporate), add a little red beauty to your look. A red tinted lip balm or red nails are the easiest way to get the look.
PLEASE DO NOT WEAR A HEART TIE TO WORK (or any heart-pattern anything). That just looks weird. If you really want to “dress up” a bit, wear a baby pink button-down shirt and give each girl you work with a compliment. Pink is a really hot color on guys, and a compliment will make our day.
