WHEN KANYE WEST SAYS, “STAND UP,” YOU STAND UP, GOD DAMN IT, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU’RE PHYSICALLY CAPABLE OF DOING SO OR NOT.
One Yeezy fan learned this lesson the hard way this weekend at West’s show in Sydney, Australia, where North West The Person’s dad is currently finishing up his Yeezus tour.
Before performing a song, West eloquently told the crowd, “I can’t do the rest of the show until everybody stands up…unless you got a handicap pass and you get special parking and shit.”
Kanye then waited until he saw everyone in the stadium standing, and announced, “this is the longest I’ve ever had to wait to start a song, it’s unbelievable,” after announcing to the entire audience there were still TWO PEOPLE who weren’t standing in Yeezy’s kingdom. After publicly humiliating these two fans and having the rest of the crowd boo at him, Kanye then confirmed the two seated fans were, in fact, in wheelchairs, and thus, exempt from the Great Standing Degree of 2014.
Once the seated concert goers’ possession of a Kanye-worthy excuses seemed legitimate enough, Kanye proceeded to perform, “The Good Life,” which, in my opinion, just added insult to injury to the two wheelchair detained Kanye fans.
Good going, Yeezy. Good. Job.
