Founder/Editor-in-chief:
Samantha Matt graduated in May 2010 from Ithaca College where she studied Television Production and minored in Writing. After graduating, she missed college so much that she decided to blog about it — therefore starting the website currently sweeping the nation, Forever Twenty Somethings (joke… kind of). She wants to help other recent grads and 20-somethings feel young (because we are) and let everyone know they certainly aren’t alone in thinking, for instance, ‘I have no friends.’ When not writing, editing, and crafting clever ideas, she is most likely either watching Pretty Little Liars, spending all of her money on clothes she doesn’t need, or working full-time at a TV Production company in Boston. She has big dreams, but for now is working her way up the career ladder while saving her pennies (HA) and continuing to live the dream. Follow her on Twitter at @samanthamatt1!
The Writing Team:
Kristina Cappuccilli graduated from Manhattanville College in May 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Communications. During her time as a college student, she interned at notable companies throughout Manhattan, including Bad Boy Entertainment and Cosmopolitan Magazine. The internships proved to be just as challenging and rewarding as she’d hoped, giving her loads of experience and teaching her that hard work actually does pay off. After applying to editorial position after editorial position throughout the summer following graduation, she decided that getting a foot in the door was better than not having a job at all. She currently works as part of an administrative support team at an executive search firm in Manhattan. Living two hours away and commuting to the city to save up for an apartment in NYC is just as painful as it sounds, but hopefully the summer will bring new living arrangements! In the meantime, she’s just learning to balance it all. Being a commuter, pursuing a career in writing, and having a full-time job and boyfriend is a lot to take on, but she’s ready for it (with a pen in hand, of course). Follow her on Twitter at @kriscappawhat!
Hannah Gettleman is a recent journalism graduate of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. At school, she was active in her sorority, Alpha Epsilon Phi, a member of the advertising committee for College Fashion Week, and a Public Relations Representative for Rent the Runway on Campus. She also served as a staff reporter at The Daily Illini, where she has covered stories about local businesses and campus organizations and events. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in magazine journalism, public relations, communication, or any combination of the three. When she’s not in school mode, she loves listening to music and catching up on the latest news in fashion and pop culture. She also has a severe weakness for online shopping and chocolate. You can find her on LinkedIn and follow her on Twitter.
Cameron Jacoby graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in December 2011 with a degree in Economics. She’s originally from Florida, and after graduating college, moved to Chicago for a summer, and now calls San Francisco her home. Cameron is lucky enough to work in the exciting, fast-paced world of start-ups. She currently manages social media accounts and writes blogs for start-up companies. She has always been passionate about fashion, and loves putting together quirky, unexpected outfits. Cameron also loves animals, and has been vegan for over a year and a half. She loves trying out new recipes and restaurants, and feels right at home in the pro-tofu city of San Francisco. You can follow her on Twitter at @cej33.
Charlee F graduated in May 2010 from Binghamton University with a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing. Originally from Long Island, she currently lives in New York City and recently transitioned from a one-year career as an award-winning journalist to the wonderful world of PR. She likes to think she’s a world-traveling foodie with a vast knowledge of the English language, but has never been able to complete a crossword puzzle. In her spare time, she’s attempting to write the great American 20-something novel that she hopes to complete before she turns 30. Follow her on Twitter at @char_fam.
Matt graduated from the Adelphi University Honors College in 2011 with a degree in history. He aspired to be a professor and was accepted into George Washington University but ultimately declined. He began writing about MMA (mixed martial arts) for Bleacher Report—one of the nation’s top online sports destinations—in early 2011 and still writes there. However, he’s done more than just write about sports. He authored the ebook Acquiescing to Infamy: How Cordell Hull Brought the United States to War with Japan 1937-1941. It has intermittently been in the top-50 bestsellers in the international diplomacy section of the Kindle Store. Matt was also a YouTube channel curator for Break Media. He contributes articles to Thought Catalog and makes frequent posts on BuzzFeed as well. He tweets a lot @MattSaccaro.
Ethan Grossman is a Midwest relocate from the East Coast. He went to Rider University in New Jersey (the state he was born & raised) to study Finance. While at school he perfected the art of interning for various companies such as the New York Stock Exchange and Johnson & Johnson. Upon his graduation in 2012 he did a stint as a Business Analyst in the Financial District of NYC until relocating to Minneapolis. He currently works in Marketing in the Twin Cities and his go to karaoke song is “Born to Run” by Bruce Springsteen.
Rachel Woolslayer graduated in June 2012 from UC San Diego with a degree in Communications and a minor in Business. While she tries to figure out exactly what she wants to do with her life, she is working as the Marketing Assistant/Copywriter for a bar and restaurant entertainment company in San Diego. Which ultimately means that she gets paid to convince people to drink beer and play trivia. Despite loving the laidback California lifestyle, she has a wanderlust that won’t quit and is constantly planning her next weekend or weeks-long adventure. In her free time, she enjoys pretending to be friends with her favorite celebrities, getting too emotionally involved in her TV shows, and knowing way too much pop culture. Oh and she also like sports, scrapbooking, and staying involved with her favorite college org, Camp Kesem. You can follow her bitchy comments on Twitter at @Rauncheezy.
