Now that it’s October, it’s socially acceptable to start watching the Halloween movies we loved as kids. Disney Channel calls this epic month “Monstober” and ABC Family’s 13 Nights of Halloween special is a few days away.

                                                     Preach, Marnie

Break out the apple cider and the bags of candy corn and mallowcreme pumpkins, and get ready for a spooktacular showing of your favorite flicks:

(In no particular order…)

It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

The tale of the great pumpkin is pretty legendary. Gather around, now…

Casper

Devon Sawa made our elementary school-selves feel things we never knew we could feel.

*Honorable mention for Casper Meets Wendy, starring Hil Duff*

The Haunted Mansion

A movie based on the popular Disney World ride starring Eddie Murphy.

Under Wraps

The first DCOM to shed light on the holiday (and the second DCOM ever), where a mummy named Harold is accidentally let go by three mischievous kids.

The Addams Family

Wednesday Addams is the ultimate badass with the most perfect resting bitch face. (And we’re talking the one with Christina Ricci, just so we’re clear)

Halloweentown

We LOVE this Halloween DCOM and look forward to it every year. It spawned four sequels, but we think the original is the best. And sorry to all the Sara Paxton fans, but Kimberly J. Brown will always be Marnie Cromwell. And honestly, what could be better than having Debbie Reynolds as the coolest aunt?

The Little Vampire

The little kid who famously uttered “Did you know the human head weighs eight pounds?” from Jerry Maguire gets cute again in this flick. If anything, watch for the movie’s soundtrack, which features ’00s tween faves Aaron Carter, Dream Street, A*Teens and Baha Men.

Double, Double Toil and Trouble

Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

Mary-Kate and Ashley had nothing on Billy Shakespeare, but this tale of saving their good aunt from her evil sister put the true test of sisterhood in tact. Age 7 and already tired of being twins (such is the life…), they go on a Wizard of Oz-type journey with a cowardly gravedigger, a clown who wishes to be taller and a poor man who would do anything for money. As if foreshadowing Frozen, the twins realize there is no greater power than sisterhood. Not to mention, Eric McCormack (aka Will Truman from Will and Grace) plays their dad.

Tower of Terror

Another movie based on the iconic Disney World ride, this movie features a young Kirsten Dunst and the Lindsay Ridgeway, better known as Morgan Matthews on Boy Meets World.

Hocus Pocus

You know we saved the best for last. The Sanderson sisters are enough to hold the movie on its own–with Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and a ghoulish (and a little aloof) SJP. Add a black cat named Thackary Binx, hottie Max Adler, a curious sister Dani, a zombie named Billy…need we go on?

Happy viewing!
