New Girl Style Spotter: Bachelorette Party

When I think of my wedding, the first thing that comes to mind, like Cece in this week’s episode of New Girl, is the bachelorette party. I know my future maid of honor is going to plan something crazy for me, and that’s exactly what Jess tries to do for Cece. Things don’t go according to plan, though, when Cece’s future aunt-and-law shows up to the party (with full judgement in tow). While Jess scrambles to make the party more “PG,” simultaneously worrying that Cece has lost herself in rushing into marriage, she manages to look fashionable as always, in a bright outfit that any girl would envy.

You’ve probably always heard that it’s never a good idea to mix red and pink together in an outfit. Well, Jess certainly proves us wrong in her color-blocked Kate Spade dress! The dress’s simple shape and black band at the waist work to minimize the bold effect of the red and pink. The addition of the black keeps the colors separate enough so that they aren’t clashing. The color combo looks a little like Valentine’s Day, but it’s cute nonetheless. Earlier in the episode, before the bachelorette party, Jess also wears a pink-and-camel striped sweater from Madewell, paired with a black skater skirt. Check out the collage below to recreate Jess’s looks – accessories are scarce in these outfits to let the bright colors shine!
