While you were out raging and/or Netflixing this weekend, men everywhere watched 21-year-old Jordan Spieth earned his first green jacket and Masters’ title. (For those who don’t follow, that’s golf. The very form of entertainment your dad naps to on Saturdays.) But when there’s eye candy like Spieth, it miiiight be time to tune in. Aside from being the second youngest golfer to receive the honor, he’s got the charm and humor of a true Texas boy. Here’s 4 things to know about this young Masters’ champ:

 1. He dropped out at the University of Texas

The Dallas native is the splitting image of an All-American boy. He helped the Longhorns win the NCAA championship, was named Big 12 Freshman and Player of the Year, and was named to the first team All-American. He earned a spot in the U.S. Open in 2012 as an alternate and tied for 21st place. At 19, he turned pro.

2. He’s been dubbed “The Next Tiger” (which is a pretty big deal in the golf world)

He really hit his stride winning the John Deere classic in July 2013, becoming the first teenager to win the tournament since 1931. The win cemented status as a PGA tour member, and he was named PGA Tour Rookie of the Year. He tied for second at last year’s Masters, already starting his turn of making history.

3. He is dating Annie Verrett

Sorry ladies, Spieth is off the market. He and Annie are childhood sweethearts, and she recently graduated from Texas Tech University (but that won’t stop us from trying!)

Happy 21st to this beautiful girl! Great time at the Rustic with family and friends @@annie_verret

4. He has a special needs sister named Ellie, who he says is “his biggest inspiration” He started the Jordan Spieth Charitable Trust, which lends time, awareness and financial assistance to special needs youth, military families and junior golf. As if we need another reason to love him.

What a football weekend! A big with for #CowboysNation tonight. Awesome being with the fam @@stevenspieth

5. He just a regular twenty-something. But now $1.8 million richer. He has non-golf famous friends like Tom Brady and Jake Owen, as a Southern gent, calls his elders “Mr.” and owns four pairs of cowboy boots. But really, do you expect anything less?

Hannah Gettleman is a bubbly twenty-something living in Chicago. She graduated in 2012 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Journalism. Don't tell her that print is dying--she's already made the switch to public relations. As a Midwest girl, winter happens approximately 80% of the year, so she knows a thing or two about a good pair of snow boots. She lives for summer weather (even though she can never tan), Boy Meets World reruns, and an unhealthy addiction to dark chocolate and online shopping. She's a die-hard Chicago sports fan, even though she's well aware the Cubs always end up in last place every year.
