I didn’t run 26.2 miles but I left the city of Boston inspired and with swollen feet. Seriously, I know this is terrible to even mention but my legs and feet are so sore after walking leisurely through the streets of Boston.

1. An American won! Amurica.

2. I was able to throw a few cold ones back with my framily. I’m so fortunate to have some amazing friends in my life. Marathon Monday allowed me drink with some of the very best. A Boston firefighter, an amazing dad, a determined law student, a feisty red head and an even sassier blonde, a tan mamacita and a world traveler.

3. I met a girl that looked exactly like Sansa Stark, no joke, the cheekbones and everything. The best part is no one had ever told her that she looked like her before. To top it all off, I was able to practice my curtsy in front of her.

4. Mother Nature was looking after us. The weather was absolutely beautiful. #bostonsweaty

5. Friends of mine successfully ran 26.2 miles. That type of physical feat is absolutely mind blowing to me. Despite the fear of passing out from dehydration, pooping their spandex, and not finishing, they all made it! To top it all off, a dear friend to one of my best friends was proposed to after they both crossed the finish line. How fucking amazing is that?

6. Boston was a happy and safe city. Despite the helicopters, snipers, security checkpoints and bag checks, everyone had a smile on their face. Most importantly our beloved city was safe and secure.

7. Some man thought my eyelashes were fake and I was beyond flattered by his backhanded compliment. They’re real people!

8. God Bless America was on repeat at Copperfield’s and no one complained.

9. And last but not least, sorry people, I’m about to turn the sap level up to 11. I was able, like so many others, to come home safe and sound to the man of my dreams. Thank you to the state, local and city police officers who kept everyone safe. I love this city and everyone that calls Boston home.
