Some travel got in the way of my blogging last week. And man, it was a good one! It ended with Olivia standing on a deserted island in a hurricane, alone. Let’s take a moment to relive:

The six ladies: JoJo, Caila, Emily, Becca, Amanda and Lauren head to Indiana to see Ben’s hometown. Last week Leah, in a last ditch effort to save herself, threw some serious shade towards Lauren. She got sent home and Lauren got asked on the Indiana one-on-one. It never works, ladies! Never.

One-on-One: Lauren

Lauren and Ben shoot hoops with some local kids in his community. Ben and Lauren discuss the aforementioned shade and seem to put everything to rest. He is clearly super into her and all of the women are rightfully threatened.

Indiana Bachelor Lauren

One-on-One: JoJo

Next up, JoJo and Ben reconvene in Chicago for the next one-on-one. The pair play some ball and have a romantic date at Wrigley Field. Ben notes he’s the most himself with JoJo, but is concerned she’s genuine because she won’t open up. I feel like this has to be so producer fabricated. Obviously every girl is not confident and has reservations when she’s literally competing for a man. This isn’t something shocking or unique.

THE BACHELOR - "Episode 2007" -Ben's hometown of Warsaw, IN will roll out the red carpet for him and the remaining six women. This visit will give the ladies a little insight into who Ben is and what a future with the Bachelor might be like. A special one-on-one date with Lauren B. is based at the youth center where Ben volunteered as a teenager. Surprise guests, including Indiana Pacers superstar George Paul, make this a memorable date for the kids and the bachelorette. Then, it's off to Chicago with JoJo to legendary Wrigley Field, home of Ben's favorite team, the Chicago Cubs, where the couple has the whole stadium to themselves. A high stakes group date pits three women against one another, with the rose winner automatically getting a hometown date. Emily gets a huge surprise when her date with Ben includes a visit to his parents. Ben faces his most difficult decision yet as he decides which bachelorettes' hometowns he will visit, on "The Bachelor," MONDAY, FEBRUARY 15 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EST) on the ABC Television Network. (ABC/Jean Whiteside) BEN HIGGINS, JOELLE

Group Date

Back in Indiana, the ladies discuss their insecurities with the other women and their relationship with Ben. They learn Emily gets her first one-on-one and Becca, Caila and Amanda will go on the group date. The group date does miscellaneous activities outside and discuss the reality of bringing him to their hometown. All of the ladies make their last plea to get the date rose and it ultimately goes to Amanda. I think Caila has it in the bag, but Becca seems to be on the chopping block and continuously notes her dissatisfaction with the process and doubts with her relationship.

Amanda gets to spend the rest of the date with Ben solo and he takes her to McDonalds, where they plug the hell out of breakfast all day. Really ABC?! From someone who works in advertising, I’m really curious how much Mickey D’s paid for this promotion.

Bachelor Ben McDonalds

One-on-One: Emily

Next up is Ben and Emily’s one-on-one. He take her to meet his parents, which is surprising as his relationship with her is certainly behind other women. She was an interesting choice to meet the parents, but I am kind of feeling like it’s a test.

Emily word vomits to Ben’s parents and everyone doubts her maturity. She’s the same age as many women in the house, though she presents herself as young and unaccomplished. In a not at all surprising move, Ben tells her he doesn’t see a future with her and sends her home.

Rose Ceremony

Thank the lord, Chris Harrison has made it to Indiana. We almost made it an entire episode without him! Amanda already has a rose and Lauren, JoJo and Calia receive the remainders, sending Becca home (again. ouch).

Predictions

Next week the ladies will take Ben to their hometowns to meet the family. I’m thinking he’ll decide he’s not ready to be a step dad and will send Amanda home. I’m still thinking it’s JoJo and Lauren in the final two.
