Office Attire, Business Casual, whatever you call it. It gets pretty boring! How many times can you recycle the same outfit? Unless you have a plethora of neutral toned slacks, appropriate length dresses and non-revealing blouses you are probably guilty of outfit repeating. I certainly am.  If you are like me, you have 3 types of clothes in your closet: work, party and comfy. I can’t wear a sexy low cut top, skinny jeans and biker boots to my 9-5. But I also refuse to spend the money I DON’T have on expanding my work wardrobe. If you are in the same boat is me – never fear!  I have found other ways to glam up my 9-5… without looking like someone pulled me off the side of the road on Sunset *cough* hooker *cough*

And since this is Beauty on a Budget, every item or product listed is under $10! #yourwelcome

Look #1: the bold lip with sock bun or top knot

Sock Bun Vivid

Imagine you are running late for work, no time shower or do your hair (typical morning for me). Dab on some concealer, a bold coral, red, or pink lip and a coat of mascara. Makeup DONE!

Now on to the hair, put your hair into a high ponytail, then take your “sock bun helper thingy” and put it through your pony. Wrap your hair around it and secure with 2 bobby pins.

Look #2: the “I’m Lauren Conrad interning at Teen Vogue” look

Estimated Prep Time: 30 – 45 minutes

What You’ll Need…

EOS Lip Balm $3                 Color Tattoo in “Bad to the Bronze” $6          Loreal Infallible Liner $7

This look definitely takes a bit more time and is great for a day when you have a lunch meeting or an obligation after work and want to look like you put in a little extra effort.

Start with your hair, curl the ends in 1-2 inch sections. It doesn’t need to be perfect because you are then going to gather it all into a low ponytail. Wrap a 1” section of hair around the elastic to conceal it. You can pair this hair style with a thick headband (very LC) or rock it as is!

For the makeup: with a clean finger apply a cream bronzy gold shadow to your lid. Use your liquid liner to create a natural looking cat eye (once again, very LC). Apply 1-2 coats of your favorite mascara on your top and bottom lashes. Finish off the look with your favorite EOS lip balm!
