I love shoes. Sadly, I’m not as good with heels as I pretend when I swoop in and purchase two pairs “just for fun”. For the most part, I am solidly in the flats and sandals camp. Wedges work too.
For a long time, I was on the hunt for the perfect pair of heels – one that looks cute and doesn’t try to murder your feet when you turn your back. It’s a surprisingly tall order. I went to the Nordstrom sale last year determined to walk away with one good pair of shoes. They weren’t on sale – but I picked up the perfect pair of Sam Edelman flats.
Since buying my first pair of “Felicia” flats from Sam Edelman, I have now gone back and bought the SAME shoe in two more colors. Plus a pair of heels. Plus a pair of boots. Yes, ok, I have a problem. But I get a lot of compliments on them, I promise.
I’m on my feet a lot, so it’s really important that I find a shoe that doesn’t cause me to wince with every other step at the end of a long day. The flats I bought have a bit of a built-in cushion and they don’t curl around your foot like some shoes do now. Those shoes are SO uncomfortable. I’m not sure why people still buy them.
Sam Edelman hits the jackpot with their brand – it’s fashion at a mid-level price range (the “Felicia” flat retails for $89.95), and they have something for everyone. They carry a lot of signature pieces and introduce new ones each season.
If you’re stuck on something to wear, or need to refresh your wardrobe, check out Sam Edelman – you won’t be sorry you did.
