From the amazing ladies of Tone It Up comes a healthy-good for you-no, you won’t look like a body builder protein. Perfect Fit is organic, gluten-free, raw, vegan, kosher, sugar and fat free, dairy free, and wheat free. In a nutshell, whatever strange dietary restrictions you have you are fully covered. Each serving is 15g of protein and comes in a Vanilla flavor. I have tried many protein powders and find this is the best tasting and least harshest on my stomach. It’s super easy to add to a glass of almond milk, morning shake, or even incorporating protein into your baking recipes. And ladies, we need about 40grams of protein a day so this powder helps me get closer to that than usual.

If you don’t want to join Jamie Lee Curtis on Activia I suggest a few cups of this Yogi Tea. It’s blended with ginger, black pepper, and dandelion to help get things…moving. It also supports liver and kidney function so maybe after a morning of drinking—this detox will help you feel like yourself again. The tea tastes good and isn’t harsh on your stomach or force you to run to the toilet. Plus Yogi tea’s have daily affirmations and helpful quotes on their bags which are SUPER cute.

For the extremely active twenty-something, investing in a foam roller is a must. As we are getting older (cringe) our bodies don’t recover like they used to in workouts. A foam roller is able to attack a knot or troublesome spot with direct pressure. Rolling over your tough areas are painful but afterwards you feel like looser and less tense. It’s great for IT bands, hamstrings, quads, apply more pressure the deeper the knot.

Spark is a long lasting vitamin and amino acid energy drink that actually works. It blows any Red Bull or Monster product out of the water. The drink is sugar free and full off healthy vitamins with a touch of caffeine to replace your morning coffee. It’s 45 calories per scoop and comes in many different flavors from pink lemonade, citrus, and strawberry mango. I have used Spark for the last year and it has replaced my three cups of tea that I used to have to have in the morning to wake up. One serving of Spark and I’m ready for the day—it’s also great for that 3pm “oh my god time is standing still at work” feeling.

I’m being super L.A. and somewhat of a douche to say that this juice cleanse is amazing. It’s from Dr. Oz so obviously it’s wonderful because Dr. Oz is Oprah’s homeboy. It consists of drinking 3 meal shakes for 3 days straight and allowing another shake for a snack. Not going to lie it’s kinda sucky to not physically chew anything for 3 days but the results are so worth it. It’s not meant to be a drastic weight loss detox but more of a reset and flush the toxins out. I highly recommend this plan to anyone who is coming off a bingeful and glutinous summer.
Both enriched with Omega-3 Fatty Acids these two seeds are beneficial in your diet. A few tablespoons of flaxseed a day are high in fiber and antioxidants as well as having cardiovascular benefits. Studies have also shown that they can prevent cancer but in a world where everything either causes or cures cancer—do what you will with that information.
Chia seeds help you lose weight and keep you fuller faster and longer. They absorb ten times their weight in water and help reduce blood pressure and control blood sugar as well as being high in fiber.
Recommendation: Add a few spoonfuls to your next smoothie, yogurt, or oatmeal.

Another reason why Target is AMAZING. On one of my many shopping trips where all I needed was probably paper towels and eyeliner—I walked out with reversible sports bras. I’m not too particular when it comes to bras but because I am a runner I need something that is durable. I’m obsessed with the thin straps and the fact that it’s reversible so I can try to make it match to my workout outfit. It doesn’t cause any chaffing and absorbs sweat without making you feel wet and weighed down. They come in super cute colors and because it’s Target super affordable.

Coconut oil is a good saturated fat to replace your cooking oil or butter with. It contains the healthy fatty acids you need and runs about 117 calories a tablespoon. The oil adds a new flavor to cooking, baking, and even your morning coffee. Coconut oil is also good for your external body as it can be used for helping your hair and skin.

I came across this product at a race expo and thought this was just like any other juicer/blender infomerical that I see on tv, however, this thing is worth all the hype it’s getting. The Nutribullet completely breaks down whatever you put in it to a liquid state—cucumbers, ice, nuts, carrots—and keeps it at it’s most nutritional value whereas a juicer removes the fiber and other important ingredients. It comes with handy to-go cups that you are able to just transport to and from home, which makes it extremely easy to make a shake and go to work.
