The fall season calls for new fashion, strolling through apple orchards and corn mazes, and one very important activity: football. Every guy knows that football is one of the biggest sporting events during the next five months, whether it’s at the collegiate level or in the national league. As a girl, it is essential not to get in between a guy and football. Just don’t. It will get ugly. Trust me, I know firsthand.
My dad has been in the same fantasy football league with his fantasy teammate since I was in kindergarten. I know it’s football Sunday when he calls the house every five seconds to check on the player they put in the game. My mom got involved about 6 years ago when she took over my dad’s spot in his football pool. She has to pick five games against a point spread every week, and if you win all five games, you win the pot. To say that I caught the football bug would be an understatement. Instead of doing my homework, I’d watch the games my mom picked and check out the players in my dad’s league.
In short, I love football season. From waking up early to tailgate and drinking cheap beer to watching the games in the student section with my friends, football season in college was the best.
