Oscars 2012: Best Dressed

Here are my picks for ‘best dressed’ at tonight’s Academy Awards. After seeing Gwyneth Paltrow’s boring white gown, Melissa McCarthy’s unflattering (but very pretty) dress, and J-Lo’s classy yet fab getup (did someone say nip slip?) stroll down the red carpet, it was good to see a few Oscar-worthy outfits. Who were your best and worst dressed picks of the night?

Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton. Love the dress… Not crazy about the little bow on it and the clutch – do one or the other. Oh – and I’m not crazy about the hair, but I never am with her… grow it out, sister!

Angelina Jolie in Versace. This bitch could wrap fabric around her and look unreal. Love the solid color black with the leg showing. Makes a boring dress exciting! But, like, why couldn’t she stand like a normal person on stage? We get it – you have great legs and your dress exposes one of them… No need to legit shove it in the world’s face Angie. Nice lips BTW.

Cameron Diaz in Gucci. Not crazy about the hair (Cam can look better than this!), but absolutely LOVE the bottom of the dress. It’s fabulous.

Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji. This is a PERFECT choice for Octavia’s curvy figure. The design makes her appear much thinner than she actually is. Props to her for choosing this dress, rather than one that wouldn’t do her figure justice.

Jessica Chastain in Alexander McQueen. From the moment this dress walked on the red carpet, I loved it. I had no idea who Jessica was, but this dress made me find out (gotta love Google). I have an obsession with gold and black, so… yeah.

Emma Stone in Giambattista Valli. I love everything about Emma Stone. Everything. From the moment I first saw her in Superbad, I knew she was going to be a superstar… Okay – maybe I didn’t, but that felt cool to say. I LOVE red – and I especially love red on Emma. Oh, and I am obsessed with the bow. I need this dress hanging in my closet. Like, right now.
