If you have not been on a cruise, you are truly missing out. They are the best bang for your buck these days, as most are inclusive and constantly offer summer, winter and last minute deals.

Cruise-3

1. There is unlimited food.

There is a plethora of food available on a cruise. From the buffets in multiple locations and unlimited ice cream to the 24/7 pizza bar and captains dinners, you’ll never go hungry. And on “at sea days,” brunch is usually offered.

2. There’s no need for a DD or an Uber when drinking.

One of the many perks of taking a cruise is the drink packages. For many cruise lines, you can purchase a beverage package from their program. For one I went on, the daily drink limit was 15 drinks, which included any beer, most liquors, cocktails and more.

And when you are on a boat in the middle of the ocean, you don’t have to worry about who is driving you home – or even if your phone is charged enough to find an Uber. You can enjoy your drinks and know that you are drinking responsibly.

3. You get to visit multiple locations instead of just one.

With a cruise, you get the experience of multiple vacations all for the price of one. You can visit multiple locations around the Bahamas, Caribbean, etc. without having to unpack or repack a bag. Additionally, you get to sample the culture of each new destination – and then return to the boat for your next adventure.

4. The view is always 100%.

Once you get on the boat, you can look out over the vast ocean. It is truly beautiful to see sunrises (if mornings are your thing) and the sunsets that meet the water. The idea that you are out in the middle of ocean also helps create perspective and peace of mind.

5. It’s usually pretty cheap.

Depending on the cruise line and time of year (winter will be cheaper) you choose to travel, a cruise is typically your most inexpensive option. The prices can range from $300 to $500 for multiple nights, which are all-inclusive (minus alcohol and on-land excursions). You would pay much more for a hotel at the beach or in a major city, neither of which would include any food or entertainment. You can also put down a deposit to save your spot on the boat and make payments later. The flexibility is there.

6. There is always something do on the ship.

There is always something do on a cruise, whether it is seeing a show, playing games or partaking in trivia. You can enjoy daily pool deck activities such as watching an ice carver sculpt a figure, playing bingo and singing karaoke. Furthermore, cruises also host a variety of comedians, dancers, musicians and singers who perform in the evenings.

7. You don’t have to worry about losing people because you’re stuck on a boat together.

By taking a vacation on a cruise, you are guaranteed that everyone will be on the boat. The odds are high that you will run into someone if they wander off. The confined space of the boat also allows a group to split up and do different activities then meet back up.

8. The attire is whatever you want it to be.

If you are type of person who loves wearing tank tops, shorts, sundresses and bathing suits, then you will love a cruise. You can be comfortable and casual all day long. If you like to get dressed up, the formal nights and dinners on the boats will give you an opportunity to pull out your fancy gear.

9. It allows you to take a break from the real work.

Sometimes, we all need a break from constantly checking social media, getting emails from our boss at 11pm on a Friday and getting useless group texts. Being out in the middle of ocean with no cell service or wifi is the refresh button needed to live life without distraction for a few days.

There is a little something for everyone on a cruise. But best of all, you’ll get to have fun and not spend a ton of cash. Happy sailing!
