It was the year 2001. I was in 8th grade, awkwardly roaming the halls of middle school in a graphic t from abercrombie kids. This feels like it was forever ago, but the music I listened to back then does not. I mean, it kind of does, but not 15 years old. I wasn’t even 15 when these songs came out. When these songs came out in 2001, songs that were 15 years old were released in 1986. When I was in 8th grade, I thought 1986 was ancient times. Imagine what today’s 8th graders think of 2001? They, like, weren’t even alive then.
Here are 15 songs that came out in 2001 that will bring you back to some super awkward middle school dance moments, or if you’re in your early 20s, these songs will bring you back to elementary school because I am that much older than you. YAY!
